Post #40 Thoughts for Going Forward

Hi, I am back, after taking a break & some tussling with inertia about what to write next. Will write on this website now for a while.
Will try new topics. Including some commentary on our current times. Is my view for years now, that we are going through some fairly intense, accelerated societal changes. Some of us not aware of how many & how fast. Those taking closer note, may sometimes feel mentally dizzy. The covid changes of course, though I was noting big / rapid culture changes before covid-19.
After so many changes in my lifetime so far, was thinking of the WWW / internet as the biggest culture shifter or accelerator. I love the breadth of good info. shared there. & social media: so we’re more aware of the good & bad things in our world, & even in real time.
Now I digest that A.I. may usher in even bigger changes, even a new world order of sorts (ya; hardly big news…). A.I. development is often messy at the moment, like many big changes before it. Likewise, many (e.g. workplaces) are trying (some desperately?) to jump on the A.I. trend & not be left behind. Most may be muddling around still. I read that some consider: only 3 major A.I. players at the moment (3 companies with really deep pockets / $$ for development).
Do not discount that some relative “unknowns”, with no big $$ yet, might turn into some of the biggest A.I. players, based on some startling new thinking & ingenuity.
We may as well try learning to love any of the *good things* A.I. may bring. It is here & most likely to stay.
And to keep a sharp eye out for any opportunities to influence the things we don’t want it to bring.

Here’s hoping that my writing path ahead, will have some fragrant flowers to enjoy along the way (for both writer & reader).

Kellie tries to improve quality of life, while lowering cost & simplifying ['mostly: let's Not do expensive rocket science every day']. So: high quality @ lower cost & simplified when possible. Some experiments work better than others; I plan to share how the experiments go in my blog(s).
