As in the past, recently I once again became a Costco member & Costco shopper (in Canada).
Until the last few months, I had not tried as seriously to shop there for groceries (before, I had dabbled). With grocery prices generally rising, I am apparently one of many who have joined or rejoined Costco partly for some grocery bill relief. And I am really liking the experience; am quite certain that I have lowered my grocery costs considerably. Though not certain, I think that the grocery choices there have kept evolving & improving since I last belonged (approx. 10 years ago). And/or I have become a more savvy grocery shopper during covid times (is possible).
I have already realized other impressive cost benefits too: lower prices for prescription eyeglasses, for independent hearing testing (with availability in Canada of some relatively lower cost hearing aids), & I perceive lower prescription filling costs.
If not already a member, you may wish to check (or re-visit) the possible benefits of a local Costco warehouse store near you. Of course, you should carefully assess whether the current product & service offerings & the type of shopping experience at a Costco warehouse store near you, would be worth the membership cost(s) for you personally. I believe that in just a few months, I have already offset my annual membership cost through my shopping savings there.
